Find the response you need in BLE traffic
Use device, characteristic and byte filters to make communication records easier to inspect.
Capture a small baseline
Connect to your test accessory, select the relevant service and characteristic, and perform one known operation. Save a short capture before adding filters. This gives you an unfiltered reference if a later filter hides an expected response.
Narrow in stages
In Bluetooth Tool - Debug, first scope records to the device and characteristic. Then apply a known prefix, contained byte pattern, offset or length. Begin with the least restrictive condition and compare with the baseline after each change.
Keep bytes and meaning separate
A byte match locates a candidate record; it does not prove the peripheral completed a business operation. Interpret fields using your protocol specification. The app also includes protocol framing and checksum tools when a raw byte stream needs further analysis.
Share a reproducible example
Save the capture and export TXT or CSV. Include the command, expected response and observed record in your notes. Review device identifiers or other sensitive values before sharing a real capture. Record filters, saved captures and exports are available in the free app.
